LEGOLAND New York Resort has announced that the much-anticipated LEGO city Water Playground opened during the Memorial Day weekend.
The theme park celebrated by introducing a new character called Shark Suit Guy. He led the crowd into a huge wave that opened the new attraction with a showering of bubbles and water.
LEGO City Water Playground allows families to cool down, race boats, enjoy water slides, and get soaked by a 318-gallon bucket. Visitors can dry off and enjoy the rest the New York theme parks by using the nearby changing area.
The LEGOLAND Hotel Pool is open now for the summer and offers a great place to cool off in the sun.
Stephanie Johnson, Director of LEGOLAND New York’s Division, said: “We are as excited as our guests about the summer kick-off with our long awaited LEGO City Water Playground.” We developed this new, exciting attraction as a direct response to feedback from our guests who asked for a cool place to relax. But our Water Playground offers so much more.
Johnson added, “Like our other attractions, the Water Playground is designed to provide families with creative, interactive opportunities to play, build, splash, and learn together.”
